First Annual and General
Meeting
April 6, 1998, marked a new
milestone in our short history.
On that date, OMVIC held its
first Annual General Meeting at
Toronto's Regal Constellation
Hotel.

In his introductory words, John
Carmichael, Chair of the Board
of Directors, summarized OMVIC's
accomplishments during our first
year of operations.
Next, Chandar Singh, OMVIC's
Comptroller, presented the
scrutineer's report on the
meeting's quorum, either by
members' presence or by proxies
of appointment.
Following, John Matheson of
KPMG, OMVIC's auditing company,
made an elaborate report on
OMVIC's finances. In short, Mr.
Matheson explained that OMVIC is
in good financial stand, despite
the loss of revenues due to the
transition in the administration
of the MVDA. Finally, the
auditors for 1998 where
appointed, and the meeting was
adjourned.
