Motor Vehicle Dealers Act,
2002 - OMVIC's response to draft
regulations
The Motor Vehicle Dealers Act,
2002 was passed by legislature
on December 10, 2002 and will
come into effect once
regulations to accompany it have
been finalized. Draft
regulations were made available
for public comment until
September 30, 2004. OMVIC has
reviewed the draft and submitted
comments to the Ministry of
Consumer and Business Services
(text available below). Please
keep in mind our response is
only an outline of OMVIC's
suggestions and not a guarantee
of what the final regulations
will look like. The Ministry
will review our submission,
along with many others, in
revising the draft regulations.
