The Used Vehicle Information
Package (UVIP) is issued by the
Ministry of Transportation
(MTO). It shows the ownership
history of the vehicle (current
and past owners in Ontario) as
well as any lien the vehicle
might have. This document is
required for most private
transactions. In such cases, the
seller is required to buy the
UVIP for that particular
vehicle.
