Notice of Annual General Meeting 2020

Take notice that the Annual General Meeting of members of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Waterfront Hotel, Blue Water Ballroom, 2020 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington, Ontario, for the purpose of:

  1. Electing directors,
  2. Approving minutes of the 2019 AGM,
  3. Receiving the 2019 audited financial statements,
  4. Appointing auditors and authorizing the board of directors to fix their remuneration,
  5. Confirming an amendment to By-Law No.1 permitting email notice to members, and
  6. Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

We recognize there are concerns about the risks relating to COVID-19 and attending an in-person meeting. Appropriate health and safety protocols and physical distancing requirements will be in place for the meeting, and face masks will be mandatory. An electronic proxy/ballot process is available for members who wish to have their vote counted at the meeting but who will not be attending.

After registering, members will receive an email with access to the proxy/ballot form. Registration is open until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 and the deadline for submitting a completed proxy/ballot form is 11:30 am on Monday, November 9, 2020.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, arrangements for the meeting are subject to change. We will provide updates with respect to any changes.
