Revised Notice of Annual General Meeting 2021

Take notice that the Annual General Meeting of members of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, for the purpose of:

  1. Electing directors,
  2. Approving minutes of the 2020 AGM,
  3. Confirming amendments to By-Law No.1,
  4. Receiving the 2020 audited financial statements,
  5. Appointing auditors and authorizing the board of directors to fix their remuneration, and
  6. Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, OMVIC is holding a virtual AGM. Moving to a virtual meeting reflects the Board's intent to conduct the AGM in a manner that protects the health and safety of the membership, while still providing transparency.

Members of the public may attend the meeting as observers. Just prior to the AGM OMVIC will provide information on this page about how to view the AGM for members of the public.

Important Announcement - Cancellation of Annual General Meeting on June 16, 2021

OMVIC will not hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 16, 2021.

Instead, OMVIC will hold a virtual AGM on or before June 30, 2021. Members will receive notice of the new time and date of the AGM in the next few days, with instructions about how to register to attend the AGM virtually.

OMVIC had planned to conduct an in-person meeting to give members a meaningful opportunity to participate and to discuss matters of importance to them with the Board of Directors.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Moving to a virtual meeting reflects the Board's intent to conduct the AGM in a manner that protects the health and safety of the membership, while still providing transparency.

Notice of Annual General Meeting 2021

Take notice that the Annual General Meeting of members of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Waterfront Hotel, Blue Water Ballroom, 2020 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington, Ontario, for the purpose of:

  1. Electing directors,
  2. Approving minutes of the 2020 AGM,
  3. Confirming amendments to By-Law No.1,
  4. Receiving the 2020 audited financial statements,
  5. Appointing auditors and authorizing the board of directors to fix their remuneration, and
  6. Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

We recognize there are concerns about the risks relating to COVID-19 and attending an in-person meeting. Appropriate health and safety protocols and physical distancing requirements will be in place for the meeting, and face masks will be mandatory. An electronic proxy/ballot process is available for members who wish to have their vote counted at the meeting but who will not be attending.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, arrangements for the meeting are subject to change. We will provide updates with respect to any changes.
