Complaints about vehicle condition are the most common OMVIC receives from consumers. The Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) requires dealers to disclose to the buyer if a vehicle needs repairs to any of its major components. Dealers are also required to ensure vehicles sold are of merchantable quality and fit for purpose as required by the Sale of Goods Act (SGA).
