Reminder: Sign up for FREE education!


If you took the OMVIC certification course before January 1, 2010, or have never taken the certification course, you’re eligible to take the Key Elements Course for FREE. The course explains key pieces of legislation that came into effect on January 1st, 2010 that registrants need to know – like compliance and disclosure requirements, advertising and more!

If you receive this letter, you qualify for this exclusive, limited time offer to save on the cost of the course, along with one year of OMVIC registration fees*. Upon completion of the course, you will also receive an esteemed “C.A.L.E. – Certified in Automotive Law and Ethics” designation.

*please note: if a dealer pays a salesperson’s OMVIC fee, then the dealer will receive the refund, not the salesperson.

OMVIC will be hosting a webinar on December 3rd, to support registrants while they study. To sign up for a webinar, email education@omvic.on.ca.

Taking the course is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Download and fill out the registration form. Submit the form to Georgian College at omvic@georgiancollege.ca or, register with the UCDA (if you’re a member) by contacting m.prince@ucda.org
  2. Download the MVDA Key Elements Course textbook (a textbook will also be mailed to the address provided on your registration form
  3. Study the materials and within 12 weeks, review the digital test requirements document, and register to take your test online

Once you’ve successfully completed the course, Georgian College will send an email with your grade to your personal email address. Students are required to achieve a minimum of 60 per cent on the test to pass the course. All refunds will be adminsitered by OMVIC electronically.
